Cold and Hot Stoves of Lisbon – Portugal

On the northwest side of the Eduardo VII Park in Lisbon, Portugal, there is the Cold Stove and the Quente Stove, a botanical garden full of plants that can be found in both cold and tropical climates. The Cold Stove (Estufa Fria) has many exotic plants, streams, waterfalls, palm trees, bushes with flowers and banana trees. The Quente Stove (Hot Stove) has plants and birds of tropical climate. Circus Theater – Braga, Portugal

The needs that arose from a growing city and the plans to extend the “Avenida da Liberidade”, the City of Braga (Portugal) took control of the abandoned “Convent dos Remédios” to develop a urban project that included the construction of a new theater. Arch of the Rua Augustus – Lisbon, Portugal

The earthquake of 1755 definitely caused a lot of damage in the city of Lisbon, a fact that forced major reconstruction works in the capital of Portugal. The Arch of the Rua Augusta or Triumphal Arch of Lisbon, built as a bell tower in 1775, part of the emblematic works that the Marquis of Pombal entrusted as part of these reconstruction works.
