San Zaninovo – Venezia

Crossing the Castello sestiere of Venice, we come across the popularly known Church of San Zaninovo (San Zan Novo). Its proper name is San Giovanni Nuovo and it is dedicated to Saint John the Evangelist.

The original church dates back to the 10th century, but it was rebuilt in 1762. The facade still remains incomplete.
