In our trips, we have had the opportunity to spend many night in hotels, hostels, B&Bs, etc. Some well known and others unknown. Although it is not our custom to write-up the places where we have stayed, this time we will make an exception.
Our heart-warming experience in Assisi, began upon our arrival at the “Ideale” Hotel, a small family operated hostel.
It lives up to its name of being ideal. Located on the main road and barely a few steps from the bus terminal, it was already very unique. A hostel on the outskirts but at the same time very in the center of town.
Its rooms, very comfortable and with a very balanced combination between antiquity, and current comforts. What most caught our attention was the balcony or terrace, accessed through wooden doors in the room. From there, at a great height, we enjoy views of the sunset, dusk and dawn of the Umbria Valley as well as the historical treasures of the city of Assisi.
A wonderful night in Assisi, we enjoying an ideal view, in a very ideal corner of the “Ideale” Hotel.
