León y el Palacio de los Guzmanes
La familia de Los Guzmanes era uno de los linajes leoneses más antiguos. Se trata de una familia poderosa y muy influyente de León, donde no sólo sitúan su Palacio en pleno centro de esta ciudad de España, sino que lo ubican de manera tal que su fachada principal abra hacia la plaza de San Marcelo. Además, exigieron que nada se pudiera construir en la plaza que bloqueara esa fachada.
