La Fontana della Civetta o Fuente del Buho es obra de Giovanni de Duca y es de mediados del siglo XVI. Quizás, a diferencia de otras fuentes en la Villa d’Este, la Fontana della Civetta parece ser más formal al encontrarse en una terraza separada bordeada por paredes con nichos. The «Fontana della Civetta» or Fountain of the Owl is the work of Giovanni de Duca and is from the mid-16th century. Unlike other fountains in the Villa d’Este, the «Fontana della Civetta» seems to be more formal as it is on a separate terrace bordered by walls with niches.
