Durante nuestra estadía en Lisboa, Portugal, la Praça Figueira o la Plaza de la Higuera fue uno de los lugares por donde caminábamos a diario, según nos transportábamos en bus hasta el casco histórico de la ciudad. Por lo mismo, era obligado tomarnos un tiempo para visitar esta plaza.

El Castillo de Tomar y su Convento de Cristo – Portugal
El Castillo de Tomar ubicado en la pequeña ciudad portuguesa de Tomar en la región de Santarem, formaba parte de las estructuras defensivas militares conocida como la Línea del Tajo, junto a otros castillos existentes durante la época de la Reconquista de la Península Ibérica de los Moros. Conocido por ser un Castillo de la Orden del Temple, fue construido bajo las órdenes del Gran Maestre de la Orden en el 1160, Gauldim Pais en una cima del barrio «São João Baptista» y muy cerca del río «Nabão». The Castle of Thomar and its Convent of Christ – Portugal
The Castle of Tomar located in the small Portuguese city of Tomar in the Santarem region, was part of the military defensive structures known as the Tagus Line, along with other existing castles during the Reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula of the Moors . Known to be a Castle of the Order of the Temple, it was built under the orders of the Grand Master of the Order in 1160, Gauldim Pais on a hilltop in the «São João Baptista» Ward and very close to the «Nabão» river.
