The Rose Garden of the Retiro Park in Madrid, Spain, occupies just under one hectare, has an elliptical shape and the layout of its beds is symmetrical. It is delimited by a perimeter hedge with four openings that serve as access to the enclosure. In 1915, Cecilio Rodríguez, Jardinero Mayor de la Villa designed La Rosaleda, which currently has more than 4,000 rose bushes. It is very well maintained and most of the time you will find roses, although it is in the spring that they are at their best.
